Devolution is channelling billions of pounds into English mayoral authorities.
Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland has no mayoral combined authority to receive it.
We believe that needs to change quickly.
Around 48% of England's population now lives in a region with mayoral devolved powers. That share is rising.
Leicester, Leicestershire & Rutland (LLR) is outside the group. It remains undevolved.
Any future mayoral deal is likely to take years to deliver.
Meanwhile, delays are costing Leicester and Leicestershire millions of pounds in missed investment in skills, transport, business services, infrastructure and more.
